* My name is Les Wallace and I am the director for BOAM's translation department. This department is known by the acronym B.I.L.E.D. which stands for BOAM International Literature Evangelism Department. I did not grow up in a Christian home; however, I am thankful for the values that my parents bestowed in me. At the age of eighteen I knew that there was something missing in my life and I sought to fill it with many of the things this world had to offer. In 1987, the Lord allowed my path to cross that of a girl by the name of Peggy Houghton (who would eventually become my wife) that I knew from high school. She asked me to go to church with her. When it came time for prayer, her Dad took me aside and asked me if I was saved. I responded by saying, "No, but I think it is something that I should do; but, I would like to do some reading first. What book would you suggest for me to read?" He directed me to the book of John. I started reading it on Thursday. By the following Wednesday, I had come under great conviction of my sin by the Holy Spirit and realized that I needed to be born-again. So, on Wednesday, July 15, 1987, at the age of twenty-one, I asked the Lord to forgive me of all my sin and trusted Christ as my personal Savior.
* The Lord allowed Peggy and I to get married on August 19, 1989 and then in 1990 He called us into the ministry. I graduated from Bob Jones University in 1995 with a B.A. in Bible. Since graduation, I have had the privilege of pastoring a church in Ohio and then in Maine. The Lord has blessed our home with four children: Rachael (4/8/94), Courtney (11/22/95), "Quint" (9/18/99), and Amanda Joy (5/6/02).
* In June of 2004, we left the pastorate in Maine in order that I may devote my attention to BOAM's translation department known as B.I.L.E.D.
